she persisted around the world

Originally from Munich, Germany, she now lives outside of San Francisco, California, with her husband, Andrea, daughter, Vanessa, and two cats, Luiso and Winter. It is also an encouraging and inspiring book for any young girl or boy to read. I like that the women are accomplished in a variety of areas. The women in She Persisted Around the World: 13 Women Who Changed History are diverse, representing different races and countries. Each of the women featured faced a variety of obstacles and did not give up on her dreams. We need books to empower our children — more so girls — they need to know that nothing is impossible and not achievable.

I like that the book includes both women you've most likely never heard of with some of the more famous names. In this companion book to She Persisted: 13 American Women Who Changed the World, Chelsea Clinton introduces readers to a group of thirteen incredible women who have shaped history all across the globe. I even learned some new things and was introduced to some wonderful women I was not aware of who have made a difference in this world. This book is great to read to your daughter before going to sleep.
