Dadurch hat die Handlung streckenweise große Längen, es passiert einfach nichts Interessantes. How does he get him back quickly - and alive? One day, not so long ago, she suddenly disappeared without trace. Er stürzt von einem Abenteuer in die nächste ungeheuerliche Geschichte, muss gegen Bestien, Mitschüler und Fabelwesen kämpfen. I read it in one sitting. Doesn't seem like a whole lot of grief to me. Martin Edwards Spellbinding action at a furious pace. If you're Daniel Trent, a highly trained specialist in hostage negotiation, the answer is simple: you find out who took her and you make them talk. Narrator Simon Vance carries off the story telling flawlessly. I felt the book was well written for the most part, but some sections just felt longer than than the payoff.
From its explosive opening to a heart-pounding finale,Dead Linetakes the reader on a relentless switchback ride where the pace never lets up and there are slick twists at every turn. The title refers to the deadline for handing over ransom money for a kidnapped man. Ewan has a smart, hard style that's a pleasure to read. Told at breakneck pace, with Trent always fighting the deadlines that every hostage negotiator has to grapple with, Ewan reveals a serpentine plot that is complex and yet all too real. Happy to recommend this book to other readers.
How do you get him back quickly - and alive? One is the lover of the main proragonist and the other tries to tempt him. And that's how you're going to succeed. Enough attention to detail, without being redundant.
What do you do if your fiancee goes missing, presumed taken? Dead Line unfolds slowly with multiple threads advancing the story forward and takes you along Daniel Trent's journey to find his wife. Daniel Trent works in the dangerous field of hostage negotiation. You tell me when you get a chance to read it and we'll compare notes! It has pace, intrigue and exceptional characters. Aimée, is also his business partner and lover, carrying their child. But matters are complicated when Daniel's chief suspect is kidnapped. I have the tendency to do that sometimes, then I go back and read anything I've missed.
The thriller part I most welcomed was that it only took one bullet to actually shoot at and hit a person. This character-driven thriller by the author of the breezy Charlie Howard series The Good Thief's Guide to Berlin, 2013, etc. There are 2 other female characters that are minor, and it's literally a case of one saying the other is admired by a lot of men and is unwell today. Chris Ewan blew away the cobwebs with a punch like a double-barrelled shotgun. I adore a good page turner and this novel certainly falls into that category. Cleverly strung out, my desire to find out what happened to Aimee soon matched Trents own. Thriller, den ich von Chris Ewan gelesen habe.
Not sure if it would happen, but the book stands on its on, not too tightly wrapped up. Lynn Sherperd Fast paced and amazingly addictive. So that was turn off number one. Wie nimmt man effizient ab? Perhaps not quite his best work because the plot is a little too stretched to retain believability, and because of Chris Ewan is one of the coming names in British crime fiction, and there are sections here that suggest why that is so. That said, I didn't enjoy this book at all.
For anyone who knows the corner of France this is set in they will be transported back to the area. Born in Taunton in 1976, Chris now lives in the Isle of Man with his wife, Jo, and their daughter. Unlike other thrillers where the good guys and bad guys are identified from the start and its a race to the end. Yes, you really want to know how it ends, but don't make the mistake of skipping to the end to read the last chapter. I was surprised by this, as I usually love books set in Europe, and do enjoy a good mystery.
