Esta es una de mis opciones favoritas de KMail (el cliente de correo de KDE). Si en el texto que has escrito le dices al destinatario que le estás adjuntando un archivo y cuando envías el correo no has adjuntado nada, KMail te avisa a tiempo.

Otra opción que me gusta mucho de este programa es que muestra los correos en formato conversaciones. De la misma forma que lo hace Gmail pero en forma de árbol, como en un foro. Realmente útil si estás suscrito a listas de correo.

Ayer compré un aparato electrónico. Algo realmente simple de usar. Por algún motivo me detuve a leer sus instrucciones deseguridad:

1. Lea las instrucciones
2. Conserve estas instrucciones
3. Preste atención a todas las advertencias
4. Siga todas las instrucciones
5. etc…

Se me pasaron las ganas de seguir leyendo.

La página de Internet Archive és Archive.org, allí es dónde se almacena (constantemente) el pasado de internet, también podemos ver/descargar películas antiguas que han pasado a dominio público, así como películas libres, música libre, etc.

La parte que me parece más interesante es Wayback Machine, la máquina del tiempo, con la cual podemos visitar páginas web tal y como eran en determinada fecha del pasado. Con una simple búsqueda de, por ejemplo, www.google.com podemos elegir una de las fechas disponibles (que no son pocas) y visitar google tal como era en Diciembre de 1998.

Ya estaba yo tardando en incluir a Do What The Fuck You Want To Public Licence en la sección licencias de este blog. Esta es una licencia realmente curiosa: simplemente, y en buenas palabras, haz lo que te dé la gana. La única licencia sin restricciones:

Siento mucho poner el tag curiosidades a una distribución Linux, pero es que esta se lo merece mucho. Se trata de una distribución donde TODOS los programas están escritos en Perl. Como ellos dicen, “from /sbin/init to /bin/vi“. Perl/Linux usa algunos programas del proyecto Perl Power Tools (PPT), otros de Jay Kominek’s Perl/Linux page. El resto de las herramientas necesarias han sido escritas en Perl de la nada, como por ejemplo: plHttpd, edit, vi, mount, xargs, login, passwd, getty, halt, init, ifconfig, route. Según sus autores, el único código compilado es el kernel linux, perl y uClibc.

Como dato curioso, en la web del proyecto hay un texto llamado Linux and the Perl, que es una parodia del mítico Linux and the GNU Project de Richard Stallman. Pongo algunas comparaciones:
